BlueWorx is seeking a Safety and Environmental Manager for a manufacturing partner. This role supports a controlled, indoor production environment. It does not involve field work or construction sites.
• Monitor equipment and machinery to ensure proper safety guards are in place.
• Observe employees and confirm correct use of PPE.
• Inspect work areas for fire safety, first aid supplies, and general hazards.
• Conduct or coordinate testing for noise, air quality, and other exposures.
• Document findings and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain safety data sheets and compliance records.
• Lead accident investigations and identify root causes.
• Manage environmental permits and required documentation.
• Build and maintain safety training and awareness programs.
• Coordinate communication with state and federal agencies.
• Train employees on proper use of safety equipment.
• Identify improvements to processes and workplace safety.
• Support additional tasks as needed.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or 4 years of safety experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
• Clear communication skills.
• Ability to prepare reports and deliver training.
• Solid math and analytical skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility.
• Ability to reach, bend, kneel, and climb for inspections.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Must be able to work around machinery, fumes, and varying temperatures.
• Moderate noise level.
• Indoor manufacturing production setting.
• Regular exposure to moving equipment and machinery.
• Occasional exposure to chemicals, elevated areas, or electrical systems.
• PPE provided as required.
