BlueWorx is currently seeking a Welder I to support the fabrication of steel frames and building components for a manufacturing partner in Oklahoma City. This is a hands-on role ideal for candidates with MIG welding experience who value safety, teamwork, and consistent work hours.
The Welder I will assist in the fabrication and welding of steel frames and structural components. Candidates should be comfortable working in a production environment and following established welding procedures. MIG welding and fitting experience is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated individuals who meet the basic requirements.
Safely perform MIG welding on steel frames and building components
Use fabrication tools including scrapers, 7” grinders, welding hood, and gouger
Assist with fitting and preparation of materials prior to welding
Follow all welding procedures, safety guidelines, and company policies
Maintain proper housekeeping and organization of assigned work area
Demonstrate constant awareness of workplace safety
Complete required training on company policies and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned
Familiarity or fluency with MIG welding processes
Experience with plasma torches and oxy-acetylene cutting is a plus
Welding certifications are beneficial but not required
Ability to read a tape measure accurately
Basic math skills, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to bend, squat, kneel, and stand for extended periods
Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment
