BlueWorx is hiring a Cell Technician to support the assembly and testing of hydraulic products in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for mechanically inclined candidates who enjoy hands-on assembly work, testing, and working as part of a production team.
The Production Cell Technician is responsible for assembling and functionally testing hydraulic valves, manifolds, and subassemblies according to production orders, schematics, and blueprints. This role also requires coordination with other departments to meet production and quality goals.
Assemble hydraulic valves, manifolds, and subassemblies in compliance with procedures
Perform functional and specification-based testing on completed assemblies
Meet or exceed production and quality goals
Accurately log completed work in the production tracking system (KBS)
Identify and document quality defects found during assembly or testing
Maintain technical knowledge of hydraulic components and systems
Support Testing, Production Support, and Paint departments as needed
Promote and follow all safety policies, OSHA requirements, and environmental regulations
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
Complete assigned reports and tasks on time
Participate in departmental meetings and special projects
Perform other duties as assigned by management
High school diploma or GED required (must be 18 years or older)
Strong mechanical aptitude
Ability to safely use power tools
Minimum 1 year of experience in mechanical assembly, service, repair, or product modification preferred
Hydraulic directional control valve experience or training preferred
Computer literate; experience with Microsoft Windows and Excel preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Ability to work efficiently while maintaining accurate data
Willingness to work overtime, including Saturdays as needed
Required to wear steel-toe shoes and appropriate PPE
Standing for 90% or more of the work shift
Regular lifting up to 10 lbs, frequent lifting up to 25 lbs, and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
Ability to move throughout a 50,000 sq. ft. climate-controlled facility
Indoor, climate-controlled manufacturing facility
Infrequent travel may be required
