We are seeking a Test Engineer to drive reliability and innovation in our functional testing operations. You will serve as the bridge between product design and manufacturing reality, optimizing end-of-line systems, performing statistical analysis, and ensuring top-tier product quality in a high-tech automotive environment.
System Optimization: Develop and improve end-of-line and in-process testing systems to enhance performance, reliability, and cycle time.
Complex Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues across electrical controls, hydraulic systems, and mechanical designs.
Data-Driven Quality: Apply statistical analysis to test parameters to improve "first-time" acceptance rates and defect detection.
Strategic Innovation: Recommend and implement new test equipment, data acquisition strategies, and calibration routines.
Collaboration: Interface with customer engineering teams and production operations to validate test strategies and launch new products.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience: 4+ years of experience within automatic transmission processes or similar complex drivetrain manufacturing.
Automation Skills: Proven proficiency in PLC and LabVIEW programming for real-time applications.
Technical Knowledge: Strong foundation in hydraulics, electronics, engineering mechanics, and data acquisition (DAQ) systems.
Analytical Ability: Skilled in interpreting schematics, writing detailed technical reports, and using statistical methods to drive decisions.
This role is based in an active manufacturing facility. Candidates must be comfortable working around moving mechanical parts and moderate noise. The position requires physical mobility (standing, walking, reaching) and visual acuity for detailed inspections.
