Pay: $22–$27 per hour (DOE)
Shift: Day Shift (Overtime as needed)


BlueWorx is hiring an experienced Welder/Fabricator for a heavy fabrication role in Oklahoma City. This position is focused heavily on fabrication and fit-up, not just weld-out work. We are looking for skilled tradespeople who can build equipment from structural steel and aluminum using detailed blueprints and engineering drawings.

If you are strictly a weld-out candidate without fabrication experience, this role will not be the right fit.


Position Overview

The Welder/Fabricator will be responsible for fitting, fabricating, and welding structural components and equipment. Candidates must be comfortable working from prints, performing layout work, and executing weld procedures accurately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fit and fabricate structural steel and aluminum components

  • Read and interpret blueprints and detailed engineering drawings

  • Perform layout and measurement for proper fit-up

  • Weld using procedures including:

    • GMAW (MIG)

    • SMAW (Stick)

    • FCAW (Flux Core)

    • GTAW (TIG)

  • Prepare materials and ensure proper joint fit-up prior to welding

  • Follow established welding procedures and quality standards

  • Inspect finished welds for quality and accuracy

  • Maintain clean and organized work area

  • Follow all safety policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of welding and fabrication experience required

  • Strong fabrication and fit-up experience (not weld-out only)

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints

  • Understanding of multiple weld procedures (GMAW, SMAW, FCAW, GTAW)

  • Certified welder is a plus

  • Must pass a weld test after interview process

  • Ability to communicate and understand English

  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in a fabrication environment

  • Comfortable working in a shop setting
