BlueWorx is seeking dependable and mechanically inclined Mechanical Assembly Technicians to support assembly operations for medium and large industrial equipment. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, mechanical problem-solving, and building complex equipment with precision and attention to detail.

Technicians will work on craftsman-style builds with assemblies that can include up to 100 components per workstation, including vehicle track systems, hydraulic components, engines, pumps, and hoses.


Position Overview

The Mechanical Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling, inspecting, and troubleshooting mechanical and hydraulic systems while ensuring all components meet quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical equipment and components according to blueprints and schematics

  • Install and connect hydraulic systems, pumps, hoses, and mechanical assemblies

  • Assist with the assembly of vehicle track systems and related equipment

  • Inspect completed assemblies to ensure proper fit and function

  • Troubleshoot mechanical and assembly issues as they arise

  • Follow detailed assembly instructions and procedures

  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation

  • Communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure production goals are met

  • Travel occasionally to customer locations for equipment setup, repair, or troubleshooting

Qualifications

  • Two years of technical or vocational training preferred

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics

  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems

  • Basic computer skills

  • Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team environment

  • Good communication and problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements

  • Standing, bending, squatting, and climbing for most of the shift

  • Frequent climbing on or into equipment during assembly

  • Ability to lift and move parts up to 50 lbs

  • Ability to push, pull, and position components during assembly in confined areas
