We are a 100% employee-owned, industry-leading provider of motion and control solutions. For decades, we have specialized in fluid power design, hydraulic systems, pneumatic control, and electro-mechanical solutions. Our engineering expertise powers critical operations across diverse industries, including oil and gas, power generation, construction, manufacturing, and pipeline processing.
At our company, we believe our greatest strength is our people. Joining our team means becoming an employee-owner, where every contribution matters, and your success is shared alongside the company's growth.
We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Mechanical Engineer with proven expertise in hydraulic system design. In this pivotal role, you will drive the design, development, and integration of cutting-edge hydraulic equipment.
From conceptualization to industrialization, you will play a hands-on role in developing custom hydraulic power units, valve actuators, and control systems. If you thrive in a collaborative environment where you can see your 3D models come to life on the manufacturing floor, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
Innovate & Design: Create and revise highly detailed 3D models and 2D fabrication/assembly drawings using SolidWorks.
System Engineering: Design and develop robust hydraulic systems for power units and valve actuator controls, optimizing designs for cost and manufacturability.
Schematic Mastery: Create, interpret, and refine complex hydraulic schematics using AutoCAD.
End-to-End Ownership: Champion product development from initial concept and BOM creation through testing, validation, and final production release.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with sales, engineers, and shop floor technicians to ensure designs meet exact project requirements and industry standards.
Technical Support: Provide value-added technical input throughout the project lifecycle, troubleshoot production issues, and support field installations and commissioning when necessary.
Documentation: Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), test procedures, user manuals, and project reports.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Engineering Technology.
4–7 years of relevant experience in hydraulics, mobile, or industrial equipment design.
Proven experience taking hydraulic designs from concept definition through testing/validation to final production.
Technical Competencies:
High Proficiency in SolidWorks (including PDM) and AutoCAD.
Deep understanding of manufacturing tolerances, exploded assembly drawings, and production workflows.
Expertise in selecting hydraulic components for industrial/mobile applications.
Bonus: Experience with electro-hydraulic assemblies, electrical interfaces for industrial systems, and knowledge of explosion-proof standards (UL, CSA, or IEC).
Professional Skills:
Detail-Oriented & Problem Solver: You dig into the data to make sound, cost-effective engineering decisions and rapidly implement solutions.
Exceptional Communicator: Strong written and verbal skills, with the ability to translate complex technical specs into clear project deliverables.
Time Management: Capable of balancing multiple tasks simultaneously without sacrificing quality.
Safety is our ultimate priority. This is a safety-sensitive role, meaning candidates must comply with all protocols to ensure a secure environment for our team and customers.
Environment: Primarily a business-casual office setting with occasional exposure to the manufacturing/fabrication floor.
PPE: When on the shop floor, company-supplied PPE (safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, optional ear protection) is required.
Physical Demands: Regular use of hands/typing, occasional stooping or kneeling, and the ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities (close, distance, depth perception) are required for CAD design work.
Because we are employee-owned, we invest heavily in the people who make our success possible. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package including:
Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP): Build significant retirement wealth simply by being a dedicated part of our team.
401(k) Retirement Plan * Comprehensive Health Coverage: Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance.
Financial Security: Company-paid Short & Long-term Disability, and Company-paid Life Insurance.
Growth Culture: A collaborative, service-oriented culture that actively looks for ways to help you succeed.
