Machinist I
Pay: $18-$21/hr
Multiple Shifts - Tulsa, OK
BlueWorx is looking for an entry-level Machinist to support machining operations in a manufacturing environment. This role will assist with setting up and operating CNC and manual machines while producing parts that meet print and quality specifications.
Key Responsibilities of Machinist I
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and manual machining equipment
- Machine parts according to specifications and tolerances
- Rework molds, tooling, and damaged components as needed
- Complete production and quality documentation
- Maintain clean and organized machines and work areas
- Use measuring tools and inspection equipment to ensure quality standards
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals
Qualifications of Machinist I
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous machining or machine shop experience preferred
- Basic understanding of CNC equipment and machining practices
- Ability to read blueprints and follow technical instructions
- Strong math skills, including basic geometry and measurements
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic computer skills preferred
Physical Requirements of Machinist I
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move throughout the shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Comfortable working around machinery and in a manufacturing environment
