BlueWorx is seeking a dependable and organized Tool Crib Attendant to support manufacturing operations in Shawnee. This position is responsible for managing tooling inventory, issuing and receiving tools, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring production teams have the equipment needed to operate efficiently.

Position Overview

The Tool Crib Attendant is responsible for maintaining control of tools, equipment, and consumables used throughout the facility. This role plays a key part in supporting production efficiency by ensuring tooling is properly tracked, stored, maintained, and available when needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Issue and receive tools, equipment, and supplies for production personnel
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and tool tracking logs
  • Monitor inventory levels and notify management of replenishment needs
  • Organize and maintain tool crib storage areas
  • Inspect tools and equipment for damage, wear, or replacement needs
  • Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits
  • Track calibration schedules and maintenance records when required
  • Receive, stock, and distribute incoming tooling and supplies
  • Maintain accurate documentation using inventory systems and spreadsheets
  • Support production teams by ensuring timely availability of tools and materials
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a tool crib, inventory, warehouse, manufacturing, or maintenance environment preferred
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and inventory software
  • Ability to read part numbers, work orders, and inventory documents
  • Forklift experience is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work with multiple departments
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, and moving of tools and supplies
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive tasks

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing and production facility
  • Exposure to machinery, tooling, and industrial equipment
  • Moderate noise levels and warehouse conditions
