Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay: Competitive Pay (DOE)
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM-2:30 PM
Overtime: Mandatory overtime, including evenings and weekends, as required


BlueWorx Staffing is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Plater to join a growing manufacturing team in Oklahoma City. This position is ideal for candidates with manufacturing or plating experience who take pride in producing high-quality work while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with chemicals, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow established production, quality, and safety procedures in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Position Overview

The Plater is responsible for processing parts through the plating process safely, accurately, and efficiently while maintaining production schedules and quality standards. This position requires proper chemical handling, adherence to regulatory and company safety standards, and the ability to support production goals while maintaining lot integrity and product quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process parts through the plating process according to established procedures
  • Safely handle plating chemicals and maintain compliance with all safety regulations
  • Monitor product quality throughout the plating process
  • Maintain lot integrity and ensure proper product identification
  • Control scrap and reclaimed materials
  • Meet daily and weekly production goals while following the production schedule
  • Maintain functionality and appearance standards for finished products
  • Complete production work orders and required documentation accurately
  • Notify supervisors of equipment, production, or quality concerns
  • Communicate effectively with team members and other departments
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Assist with Small Parts department duties as production demands require
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Previous plating or manufacturing experience required
  • Knowledge of chemical handling and plating processes
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Verifiable experience in a manufacturing or remanufacturing environment preferred
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Knowledge of production work orders and manufacturing documentation
  • Understanding of quality standards and manufacturing procedures
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic required

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift
  • Frequent repetitive hand and arm movements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and lift materials from floor level and storage containers
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment throughout the shift
  • Ability to work safely around chemicals, plating equipment, and industrial machinery

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing and industrial production facility
  • Exposure to plating chemicals, industrial equipment, and production machinery
  • Frequent use of personal protective equipment, including respirators and full-body protective clothing
  • Moderate to high noise levels typical of manufacturing facilities
  • Safety-focused environment requiring strict adherence to company and regulatory standards
