As a Recruiting Assistant, you'll work closely with our recruiters to help identify qualified candidates, manage job postings, communicate with applicants, and keep the hiring process moving efficiently. Your support will play a key role in helping our team fill positions quickly and provide exceptional service to our clients.
Position Overview
The Recruiting Assistant provides administrative and recruiting support by sourcing candidates, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, maintaining applicant records, and ensuring an outstanding candidate experience from application through onboarding.
Key Responsibilities
- Post and maintain job advertisements across multiple hiring platforms
- Review resumes and identify qualified candidates for open positions
- Source candidates using job boards, social media, and internal databases
- Contact applicants by phone, text, and email to discuss job opportunities
- Conduct initial candidate screenings and verify basic qualifications
- Schedule interviews and coordinate recruiter calendars
- Maintain accurate candidate information within the applicant tracking system (ATS)
- Assist with onboarding paperwork, background checks, and pre-employment requirements
- Follow up with candidates throughout the hiring process
- Update job postings as hiring needs change
- Assist with recruiting events, hiring fairs, and community outreach
- Provide excellent customer service to candidates, recruiters, and clients
- Perform other administrative and recruiting duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in recruiting, staffing, human resources, customer service, sales, or office administration preferred
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and the ability to learn recruiting software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
- Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment
- Professional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Resume screening or candidate sourcing experience
- Familiarity with Indeed, LinkedIn, Facebook, and other recruiting platforms
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required
