About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Plasma Operator to join our production team. This role is responsible for operating plasma cutting equipment to produce precision-cut metal parts according to specifications. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, basic computer skills, and the ability to read technical measurements accurately.
Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and monitor plasma cutting machinery to cut metal parts according to job specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and cut lists
  • Accurately measure materials and finished parts using a tape measure, reading to the nearest 1/16th of an inch
  • Verify part dimensions and quality against specifications before and after cutting
  • Load and input cutting programs/parameters using a computer or machine control panel
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and minor troubleshooting
  • Inspect finished parts for defects, burrs, or inconsistencies and make adjustments as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times
  • Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding production status, material needs, or equipment issues
  • Accurately complete production logs and paperwork
