This role is responsible for operating plasma cutting equipment to produce precision-cut metal parts according to specifications. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, basic computer skills, and the ability to read technical measurements accurately. Responsibilities
Set up, operate, and monitor plasma cutting machinery to cut metal parts according to job specifications
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and cut lists
Accurately measure materials and finished parts using a tape measure, reading to the nearest 1/16th of an inch
Verify part dimensions and quality against specifications before and after cutting
Load and input cutting programs/parameters using a computer or machine control panel
Perform routine machine maintenance and minor troubleshooting
Inspect finished parts for defects, burrs, or inconsistencies and make adjustments as needed
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times
Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding production status, material needs, or equipment issues
Accurately complete production logs and paperwork
