BlueWorx is seeking a dependable Garage Door Installer to join a growing team in Purcell, OK. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on worker who takes pride in quality craftsmanship and enjoys a mix of physical, technical, and customer-facing work.
Position Overview
The Garage Door Installer will be responsible for installing, repairing, and servicing residential and commercial garage doors and related hardware, including openers, springs, tracks, and panels. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and comfortable working independently or as part of a small crew.
Key Responsibilities
- Install new garage doors, tracks, springs, and openers according to manufacturer specifications
- Read and interpret installation manuals and blueprints
- Ensure proper alignment, balance, and operation of all components
- Diagnose and repair malfunctioning garage doors and hardware
- Replace worn or damaged parts such as cables, rollers, hinges, and weatherstripping
- Test completed installations and repairs for safety and functionality
- Load, unload, and transport equipment and materials to job sites
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time on each job
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding scope of work and completion
- Keep work vehicle and tools organized, clean, and in good working condition
Qualifications
- Prior experience with garage door installation or repair preferred, but not required
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Skills & Abilities
- Basic mechanical and troubleshooting aptitude
- Comfortable using hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs regularly
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and climb ladders throughout the workday
- Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions
- Manual dexterity for handling small parts and tools
Work Environment
- Work is performed at residential and commercial job sites, both indoors and outdoors
- Exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, and dust
- Travel between job sites required using a company or personal vehicle
