Professional Summary of Buyer

BlueWorx ks searching for a buyer responsible for supporting production and new programs through material sourcing, supplier coordination, purchasing, and inventory management. This position works closely with Engineering, Estimating, Procurement, and Operations to obtain competitive material quotes, negotiate supplier agreements, maintain appropriate inventory levels, and drive cost savings and supplier performance.

Responsibilities of Buyer

Prepare and issue RFQs to suppliers in support of engineering and operations.
Negotiate supplier pricing, delivery times, and purchasing agreements.
Monitor inventory levels and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
Support cost-saving initiatives and supplier quality and delivery improvements.
Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies and procedures.
Prepare purchasing reports, cost analyses, and supplier performance metrics.

Qualifications of Buyer

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Strong communication and supplier-management skills.
Proficiency with ERP systems.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.

Preferred Experience Buyer:

Previous procurement, purchasing, or related supply chain experience.
Experience purchasing raw materials and managing material consolidation.
Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is a plus.
