Professional Summary of Production Scheduler

We are seeking an organized and proactive Production Scheduler to join our manufacturing team in Broken Arrow, OK. The Production Scheduler will coordinate production schedules, resources, materials, and logistics to ensure orders move efficiently from pre-production through final delivery. This position serves as a key communication hub between Sales, Production, Drafting, and Management, helping maintain workflow, resolve scheduling issues, and support on-time delivery. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and has strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities of Production Scheduler

  • Maintain a Safety-First mindset in all tasks and activities
  • Create and manage production schedules to support on-time product delivery
  • Review production orders with Sales to ensure deadlines align with production capacity
  • Maintain and update visual production schedules to provide order visibility across departments
  • Prepare and release job packets for the production team
  • Distribute job files to support the drafting and development of shop drawings
  • Coordinate with shop teams to efficiently allocate materials, labor, and other resources
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to minimize downtime and maintain workflow
  • Maintain accurate inventory and production records to ensure material availability
  • Communicate production status, delays, and potential issues to internal teams and management
  • Coordinate across departments to support production, quality, and on-time delivery goals
  • Identify scheduling challenges and proactively work toward effective solutions

Qualifications of Production Scheduler

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in production coordination, production scheduling, or a similar manufacturing role
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
  • Proficiency with production planning software, including ERP, MRP, or similar systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adjust to changing production demands
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple departments and production teams

Preferred Experience Production Scheduler

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in production scheduling or fabrication support
  • Experience working with NetSuite ERP
  • Experience coordinating materials, labor, and production resources in a manufacturing environment
