Pay: $20–$22/hour
Shift: 3rd Shift — Friday–Sunday, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM | Work 36 hours, get paid for 40
Location: Tulsa, OK

Professional Summary of Handfinisher
We are looking for a skilled Handfinisher to join our Tulsa, OK team. In this role, you will set up and operate grinding and finishing equipment to produce high-quality finishes and surfaces on machined metal parts while working within specified tolerances. You will read basic blueprints, use precision measuring tools, remove burrs and imperfections, and perform grinding, polishing, and deburring operations.

Responsibilities of Handfinisher

  • Set up finishing equipment and machines by selecting, mounting, and aligning machine attachments and standard tools.
  • Operate hand-held and pedestal-mounted grinders to machine, grind, polish, and deburr internal and external surfaces and edges of metal parts.
  • Follow basic blueprints, shop procedures, and work instructions.
  • Perform material layout as required.
  • Inspect finished work using precision measuring instruments to ensure it meets specifications.
  • Use overhead hoists and pallet jacks to safely handle heavy parts.
  • Check alignments, bore sizes, welds, damaged threads, and holes to determine additional work required.
  • Operate a forklift as needed to move heavy parts and pallets.
  • Maintain assigned equipment and the work area in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
  • Assist with disassembly of fluid ends, power ends, and related components as needed.
  • Cross-train as a pressure technician and support autofrettage operations based on workload.
  • Follow all established safety and quality procedures.
  • Maintain regular attendance and comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform overtime and other shifts, including nights or weekends, as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications of Handfinisher

  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in production or machine operation within a metal manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience with metal grinding is required.
  • Basic understanding of shop mathematics.
  • Ability to read basic blueprints and use measuring devices.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of material layout, shop practices, and applicable safety regulations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to complete on-site industrial forklift training and certification during the orientation/training period, if required.
  • Must be able to stand and bend for prolonged periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at a time.

Preferred Experience Handfinisher:

  • Experience operating hand-held or pedestal-mounted grinders.
  • Experience grinding, polishing, and deburring machined metal parts.
  • Previous experience in a heavy manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience reading blueprints and using precision measuring instruments.
  • Forklift experience or certification is a plus.
  • Experience with fluid ends, power ends, pressure equipment, or autofrettage is a plus.
