Professional Summary of Fabrication Operator
We are seeking a detail-oriented Fabrication Operator to join a climate-controlled manufacturing facility. This position will operate fabrication equipment to cut, drill, grind, deburr, and finish sheet metal components. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and experience using hand and power tools.
Responsibilities of Fabrication Operator
- Set up and operate fabrication machinery and equipment.
- Cut, drill, grind, sand, tap, and deburr metal components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
- Inspect parts for quality and accuracy.
- Use measuring tools to verify dimensions.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
Qualifications of Fabrication Operator
- Previous metal fabrication experience preferred.
- Experience operating industrial machinery and power tools.
- Ability to read blueprints and work instructions.
- Proficient with calipers, tape measures, squares, height gauges, and angle finders.
- Basic shop math skills.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with press brakes or other metal forming equipment is a plus.
Preferred Experience Fabrication Operator:
- Sheet metal or metal fabrication experience.
- Press brake and metal forming experience.
- Experience with saws, drills, mills, taps, grinders, and deburring equipment.
- Blueprint reading and precision measuring experience.
