Professional Summary of Deburr Operator
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Deburr Operator to join a growing sheet metal fabrication team. This position is responsible for removing burrs, sharp edges, slag, and imperfections from laser-cut and fabricated metal parts to ensure products meet customer quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with grinders, sanding equipment, tumblers, deburring machines, and other metal finishing tools. Responsibilities o
- Deburr, grind, sand, and finish metal parts produced through laser cutting, forming, and welding operations.
- Operate hand grinders, belt sanders, deburring machines, rock/vibratory tumblers, and other finishing equipment.
- Inspect parts for burrs, sharp edges, slag, scratches, and other defects.
- Read and follow work instructions, drawings, and quality requirements.
- Meet production goals while maintaining high quality standards.
- Safely handle and move sheet metal parts of various sizes and weights.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment and work areas.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with other fabrication and production tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications of Deburr Operator
- Previous experience in sheet metal fabrication, manufacturing, or metal finishing is preferred.
- Experience operating grinders, tumblers, sanding equipment, or other deburring tools is preferred.
- Familiarity with laser-cut metal parts and fabrication processes.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic measuring and inspection skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.
Preferred Experience Deburr Operator:
- Sheet metal fabrication experience.
- Metal finishing or deburring experience.
- Experience with laser-cut and formed metal parts.
- Experience operating hand grinders, belt sanders, tumblers, and deburring machinery.
- Previous manufacturing or production experience.
