Job Duties
- Site Preparation: Clear work areas, set up safety cones or fencing, and help position the pier drilling rig.
- Rig Support: Assist the operator with loading, unloading, and rigging up or down tools, augers, and drill stems.
- Material Handling: Mix drilling fluids or mud, handle concrete chutes, and move heavy steel casing or rebar cages.
- Clean-Up & Maintenance: Shovel spoil dirt around the hole, clean equipment with power washers, and perform routine tool maintenance.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all OSHA rules, wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and watch for job site hazards.
Requirements
- Physical Strength: Lift up to 80 lbs, stand for long shifts, and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the shop or job site.
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred, but no prior experience is usually required for entry-level roles.
- Safety Mindset: Ability to follow direct instructions and prioritize team safety on heavy equipment sites.
