BlueWorx is hiring immediately for Wireline Operators / Helpers to support oil and gas well operations in Casper, WY. This is a hands-on field position for dependable, safety-focused candidates who are interested in working in the oilfield and supporting wireline operations.
Candidates with a Class A CDL are strongly preferred for operating and transporting wireline equipment, logging trucks, crane trucks, and other commercial vehicles. This position also assists field crews with equipment setup, maintenance, rig-up/rig-down, and wellsite operations.
Position Overview
The Wireline Operator / Helper will work as part of a field service crew supporting wireline operations at customer wellsites. Responsibilities include transporting and maintaining equipment, assisting with wireline tools and downhole instruments, and helping crews safely complete field operations.
This position requires a willingness to work outdoors, perform physical work, travel to wellsites, and work extended hours as operational needs require.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with wireline field operations at oil and gas wellsites
- Rig up and rig down wireline equipment
- Transport wireline equipment, tools, and materials to customer locations
- Operate logging trucks, crane trucks, and other commercial vehicles when properly licensed
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain trucks and equipment in safe, job-ready condition
- Clean, inspect, and service wireline tools and downhole equipment
- Replace O-rings and service couplings and connections
- Assist with routine equipment maintenance and basic repairs
- Identify mechanical problems and communicate repair needs
- Secure equipment and tools for transportation after completing field operations
- Operate forklifts, cranes, and other equipment when qualified
- Assist with shop operations between field assignments
- Maintain accurate operational, maintenance, and transportation records
- Communicate professionally with customers and other field personnel
Safety & Compliance
Safety is a critical part of this position. Employees must follow all applicable company, customer, and regulatory requirements while performing field and transportation duties.
Responsibilities may include working around and handling regulated materials used in wireline operations. Candidates must be able to meet applicable DOT, ATF, NRC, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements associated with their assigned duties.
Qualifications
- Class A CDL strongly preferred
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be at least 21 years old for CDL/operator responsibilities
- Previous commercial driving experience preferred
- Oilfield, wireline, construction, energy, heavy equipment, or industrial experience is a plus
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to perform basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Experience with commercial trucks, crane trucks, forklifts, or heavy equipment is a plus
- Rigging experience is a plus
- Ability to follow technical procedures and safety requirements
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Dependable attendance and willingness to work extended field schedules
- Candidates local to Casper, WY are preferred
Candidates assigned to regulated wireline activities must also be able to satisfy applicable federal and regulatory eligibility requirements.
