BlueWorx is seeking an experienced Paint & Blast Supervisor for an immediate opportunity in Oklahoma City. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for directing a crew of approximately 8–12 employees performing industrial painting, coating, and abrasive blasting operations.

The ideal candidate is bilingual, highly organized, and experienced with industrial coatings, surface preparation, blast profiles, and blasting media. Candidates must be comfortable leading employees on the floor while maintaining production, quality, and safety expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct a crew of 8–12 painters and blasters
  • Assign daily work and coordinate production priorities
  • Oversee industrial painting, coating, and abrasive blasting operations
  • Ensure surfaces are properly prepared before coating application
  • Verify required blast profiles are achieved
  • Select and properly utilize appropriate blast media
  • Monitor coating preparation, mixing, application, and curing
  • Ensure coating thickness and finish meet job specifications
  • Inspect completed blasting and painting work for quality
  • Identify and correct coating or surface-preparation issues
  • Maintain organized workflow and keep projects on schedule
  • Train and coach employees on proper procedures and safe work practices
  • Coordinate materials, equipment, and manpower for upcoming jobs
  • Maintain accurate production and quality documentation
  • Ensure blasting and painting equipment is properly maintained
  • Enforce PPE and facility safety requirements
  • Communicate production status and issues to management
  • Work overtime as production demands require

Qualifications

  • Previous industrial painting and abrasive blasting experience required
  • Previous lead or supervisory experience strongly preferred
  • Bilingual required
  • Strong knowledge of industrial coatings and coating application
  • Strong understanding of surface preparation and blast profiles
  • Knowledge of different abrasive blasting media and their applications
  • Ability to inspect completed work for coating and surface-preparation quality
  • Ability to organize and direct a crew of 8–12 employees
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple jobs and meet production deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Comfortable working in an industrial/manufacturing environment
  • Must be available to work overtime

Ideal Candidate

The strongest candidate will be someone who can step onto the floor and immediately understand the blasting and coating process—not simply supervise personnel. We're looking for someone who understands what blast profile is required, which media should be used, how surfaces should be prepared, and what a quality industrial coating application should look like.

This individual must also be capable of keeping an 8–12-person crew organized, productive, and accountable.
