BlueWorx Staffing is seeking a motivated Purchasing Agent to support procurement operations for a growing, employee-owned manufacturing company in Broken Arrow, OK. This opportunity is ideal for an up-and-coming purchasing professional with 2–3 years of hands-on experience who is eager to develop their skills and grow within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. A college degree is not required, and comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided.
Assist with sourcing, quoting, and purchasing raw materials, components, and MRO supplies based on production schedules and inventory needs.
Issue purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve supplier discrepancies involving pricing, quality, and lead times.
Maintain accurate purchasing records within the company's ERP system, including purchase order status, vendor performance, and cost information.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and accounting teams to ensure material availability and cost efficiency.
Assist with vendor qualification, negotiations, and supplier relationship management.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with cycle counts and stock replenishment planning.
Expedite critical orders and coordinate freight shipments as needed.
Minimum of 2–3 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, bills of materials (BOMs), and technical specifications is a strong plus.
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems such as Epicor, SAP, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
Excellent communication, organization, and negotiation skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work on-site at the Broken Arrow facility.
Previous purchasing experience in metal fabrication, HVAC, or pressure vessel manufacturing.
APICS/CPM certification or related coursework.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 or ASME standards.
Experience with supplier negotiations, inventory management, and manufacturing procurement.
