BlueWorx Staffing is seeking an experienced Processing Supervisor with 10–15 years of manufacturing and metal processing experience to oversee daily production operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laser cutting, plasma cutting, oxy-fuel cutting, and conventional machining equipment, including mills, lathes, and drills. This individual will be responsible for supervising production personnel, coordinating workflow, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring efficient use of equipment and materials. Experience with ERP software, production scheduling, and process optimization is essential.
Oversee daily processing operations to ensure production goals, schedules, and quality standards are met.
Supervise, train, and support production employees across multiple processing departments.
Manage operations involving laser cutting, plasma cutting, oxy-fuel cutting, mills, lathes, and drill equipment.
Coordinate production schedules, job priorities, and workflow to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
Utilize ERP software to monitor production schedules, track work orders, manage inventory, and maintain accurate production records.
Monitor equipment performance and coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs as needed.
Ensure materials are processed according to blueprints, work instructions, and customer specifications.
Identify production bottlenecks and implement process improvements to increase productivity.
Maintain quality control standards and address production issues or discrepancies.
Promote a safe working environment and ensure employees follow all safety procedures.
Collaborate with purchasing, quality, maintenance, and other departments to meet production deadlines.
Monitor employee performance, attendance, and productivity while providing coaching and guidance.
Maintain accurate reporting on production output, scrap, labor, and equipment utilization.
10–15 years of experience in manufacturing, metal processing, or steel fabrication.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong hands-on knowledge of laser cutting, plasma cutting, and oxy-fuel cutting processes.
Experience with conventional machining equipment, including mills, lathes, and drill presses.
Working knowledge of ERP software and manufacturing production systems.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and production specifications.
Strong understanding of production scheduling, workflow management, and material utilization.
Knowledge of manufacturing safety standards and quality control procedures.
Excellent leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
10–15 years of progressive manufacturing or metal processing experience.
Experience overseeing multiple production processes and equipment types.
Previous experience managing a team of machine operators and production employees.
Experience with ERP systems, inventory tracking, and production reporting.
Background in steel processing, plate burning, and heavy fabrication.
Demonstrated success improving production efficiency, reducing scrap, and meeting customer deadlines.
