Position Overview
The Directional Driller leads the bore from setup through pullback, making real-time decisions on bore path, depth, and drilling fluid conditions while coordinating closely with the locator and ground crew to avoid existing utilities and hit grade. This role is also expected to mentor less experienced operators and locators, helping build bore skills across the crew.
Key Responsibilities
Operate the HDD rig to bore pilot holes, ream, and pull back product (pipe, conduit) along the planned path
Read and interpret locate/tracking data to steer the bore, avoid existing utilities, and stay on grade
Set up and break down the rig, entry/exit pits, and drilling fluid (mud) system at each bore location
Mix and manage drilling fluid to maintain proper hole conditions and control fluid loss/returns
Communicate continuously with the locator and ground crew throughout the bore
Identify and respond to changes in ground conditions, obstructions, or unexpected utility conflicts
Perform daily pre-operation inspections of the rig, drill pipe, and support equipment

Position Overview
The Journeyman Unlimited Technician leads diagnostics, commissioning, repair, and optimization of industrial thermal systems including boilers, process heaters, burner management systems, pumps, and combustion controls. This position also supports field training, documentation, and escalation troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
System Troubleshooting & Commissioning
Lead advanced diagnostics on boilers, burners, heaters, and combustion systems
Perform startup, commissioning, tuning, and optimization (single- and dual-fuel systems)
Execute loop checks, safety validation, and logic verification
Perform tightness testing and emissions testing
Troubleshoot rotating equipment including pumps and drive systems
Controls, PLC & Electrical Systems
Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
Troubleshoot PLC logic and HMI configurations
Upload, download, and modify PLC/HMI programs when required
Support instrumentation troubleshooting including:
RTDs
Thermocouples
Field transmitters
Apply safe industrial electrical troubleshooting practices
Leadership & Technical Support
Mentor and support Technician I–III team members
Assist with quoting, repair recommendations, and scope development
Create redlines for:
Electrical drawings
P&IDs
Control schematics
Support escalation-level field troubleshooting
Lead short technical training sessions as needed
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Trade school or vocational training preferred
Journeyman Unlimited License (Mechanical, Plumbing, or Electrical) required
8+ years of industrial boiler or process heater experience
Strong working knowledge of:
Steam boilers and steam systems
Process heaters
Burner Management Systems (BMS)
Pumps and rotating equipment
Electrical schematics
PLCs and HMIs
Industrial instrumentation
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Ability to pass background screening and safety-sensitive drug testing
Willingness to travel up to 50%
