We are conducting a confidential search for a highly respected, growth-oriented commercial construction firm in the Oklahoma City market. This organization has built a strong reputation over decades for quality craftsmanship, long-term client relationships, and consistent project delivery.
Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are seeking an experienced Superintendent to join their team.
Position Overview
The Superintendent will lead all field operations for assigned commercial construction projects, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This individual will serve as the on-site leader, directing field personnel and subcontractors while partnering closely with the Project Manager to drive project success.
The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who takes ownership of the jobsite, prioritizes safety, maintains strong subcontractor relationships, and understands how to protect both schedule and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop and maintain project schedules
Lead all onsite construction activities from mobilization through closeout
Thoroughly review and understand project plans, specifications, and contracts
Select construction means, methods, and equipment appropriate for execution
Enforce and uphold strict safety standards and conduct regular safety meetings
Direct and manage field labor and subcontractors to maintain productivity and quality
Monitor workmanship to ensure compliance with plans and specifications
Oversee documentation including safety reporting, daily logs, and workforce tracking
Review and verify subcontractor invoices and job cost coding
Conduct coordination meetings to maintain alignment and resolve field challenges
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations
Qualifications
5+ years of commercial construction supervision experience
Proven ability to manage commercial projects successfully in the field
Strong leadership presence and ability to command a jobsite
Solid understanding of scheduling, sequencing, and quality control
Knowledge of safety regulations and OSHA standards (OSHA 30 preferred)
Experience with construction management software (Procore or similar preferred)
Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
